Mosquitoes Only Come Out at Dawn and Dusk

This is another myth that is partially based on the truth.

Some mosquitoes are more active at dawn and dusk, although others can be active at all hours as long as food is available. The best course of action is to apply mosquito repellent whenever you are outside.

Bug Zappers Can Eliminate Mosquitoes

This is obviously false. Bug zappers use ultraviolet (UV) light to attract insects into their cage. Since mosquitoes aren’t attracted to UV light at all, they won’t come in contact with the bug zapper.
